Who we are

Hearthwild Stories (“Hearthwild”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website hearthwildstories.com. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website.

We produce a children's Christian bedtime podcast. The personal data we collect belongs to parents and guardians — we do not knowingly collect data from children.

What data we collect

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your first name, last name (optional), and email address. We do not collect payment information, location data, device identifiers, or any other personal information.

Lawful basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your consent(UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You provide this consent when you tick the opt-in checkbox on our newsletter sign-up form. You may withdraw your consent at any time — see “Your rights” below.

How we use your data

  • To send you episode release notifications
  • To send occasional updates about Hearthwild
  • To deliver your free Bedtime Routine Checklist
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes

Retention period

We retain your personal data for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days. We do not retain personal data beyond the period necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Third-party services

Loops (loops.so)— We use Loops as our email service provider to manage newsletter subscriptions and send emails. Your name and email address are stored on Loops' servers and processed by Loops on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Details of Loops' data processing practices are available in their Data Processing Agreement at loops.so.

Cloudflare — We use Cloudflare for website hosting and analytics. Cloudflare Analytics is privacy-first and does not use cookies or track individuals across sites. No personally identifiable information is collected through Cloudflare Analytics.

International transfers

Loops and Cloudflare are US-based companies. Your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where such transfers occur, we rely on appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection to that required under UK GDPR.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) of your personal data
  • Restriction of processing in certain circumstances
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing
  • Object to processing in certain circumstances

This website does not use tracking cookies. Cloudflare Analytics is privacy-first and does not set cookies or track individuals across sites. No cookie consent banner is required.
